WHY ARE PRE-PURCHASE BUILDING INSPECTIONS IMPORTANT?
The purpose of our inspections is to provide advice to a prospective purchaser or similar interested party, regarding the condition of a dwelling at the time of inspection. An assessment of the condition of the property may be useful for valuation purposes.
WHY CHOOSE WHITE BUILDING CO?
White Building Co are a registered building company and has extensive experience in the industry. This is a key point of difference as we believe our reports provide our customers with the confidence they need in their future investment. An estimate of the cost of rectification of defects is not required in an inspection report but as a registered builder we are more than happy to discuss any need for additional works and potential hidden costs.
TYPES OF INSPECTIONS
At White Building Co we offer two types of inspections which are completed in accordance with the Australian Standards AS 4349.1-2007 Inspection of buildings pre-purchase inspections:
Pre-Purchase Structural Inspection – This inspection will assess the condition of the structural elements of the building only. As this is a ‘Structural Only’ inspection there will be various exclusions as per Australian Standards restrictions e.g. any non-structural element; general maintenance other than that which is deemed to be directly related to the ongoing structural performance of the property; serviceability and damp defects.
Pre-Purchase Inspection – This more detailed inspection will assess the condition of both the structural and non-structural elements of the building. Please do consider that due to Australian Standard restrictions, some items are excluded from the report.
