“Free Inclusions” Aren’t Free

We have previously been asked, “Why don’t you offer sales, upgrades or deals like some project home builders?”

It is a fair question.

You have probably seen offers like “free stone benchtops”, “free flooring upgrades”, “bonus appliances” or “limited-time inclusions” advertised by larger project home builders.

They sound appealing on the surface. But the truth is simple:

Nothing in building is truly free.

Somewhere, somehow, the cost has to be covered.

At White Building Co, we do things differently and price honestly from the start.

We pride ourselves on detailed estimating and transparent pricing. After over 34 years in business, we know what our running costs are, we understand the real cost of quality materials, and we know what it takes to build properly.

That means we are not going to advertise “free” inclusions and then hide the cost somewhere else in the quote.

You pay for what you actually want, the products you choose, and the quality of workmanship that goes into your home.

Some Key Considerations

A “Deal” Can Sometimes Cost You More

In building, the cheapest price upfront is not always the best value.

Sometimes a low quote is achieved by reducing allowances, leaving out important details, using cheaper products, or pushing costs into variations later.

That is not how we operate.

We would rather be honest with you at the beginning than surprise you halfway through the build.

You Choose What Matters to You

Every client is different.

Some people want high-end finishes. Some want to keep things simple and practical. Some want to invest more in energy efficiency, layout, or long-term durability rather than flashy extras.

That is why we prefer to price your home based on your priorities, not a one-size-fits-all promotion.

We Will Always Look for Smart Savings

Being honest with pricing does not mean we are not cost-conscious.

If your quote comes in higher than expected, we are always happy to sit down with you and go through it properly.

There are often smart ways to reduce costs without compromising the overall quality of the build. That might mean reviewing product selections, simplifying certain details, adjusting specifications, or looking at alternative construction methods.

Our goal is not to upsell you. Our goal is to help you make informed decisions.

Our Promise

We will always aim to give you our best price, based on the information, plans, selections and specifications available.

No gimmicks. No fake “free” upgrades. No hiding costs elsewhere.

Just honest pricing, clear communication, and a commitment to building your home properly.

At White Building Co, we believe good building starts with trust — and trust starts with transparency.
